That is what the spice girls song was called? No?
As the summer is sneaking into focus, I am finding myself drawn to white. Aside from the fact it is the most impractical colour possible, and I hate the red wine ban I have to put on myself (and my friends for that matter, they’re equally as clumsy) whilst wearing it, I can’t get enough. When I spotted this playsuit on the River Island website, I had added it to my bag and checked out before I even had time to fake feeling guilty for spending £50 on one item. But why white? Why this piece?
The colour white depicts a classic and clean look with a great deal of sophistication. It’s simple, bright and effortlessly beautiful. This particular playsuit I thought was just stunning. The long sleeve design nicely compliments the bold all-white statement, whilst the minimalist detailing on the back ties the piece together nicely (excuse the pun). The cut of the garment is so that the piece just skims the silhouette: enough to tease at the curves underneath without completely drowning your figure. Owing to the flow of the light material, the garment moves with you without being restrictive, making it the perfect occasion wear for any summer event. (Except Weddings. No one likes the girl who wears white to a wedding.)
I wore mine with a bold, black statement heel for that ultimate chic, put together look.
