When I began blogging in 2014, I had no idea where I wanted to take it. I had long admired other fashion blogs, and wanted a place to put my passion into words. For the first year at least, I blogged sporadically, taking the odd outfit picture on my iPhone 4 and writing a few words to go along with it. It wasn’t a priority for me, and in all honesty I didn’t really know what I was doing. When I finished university in 2015, I felt I could focus more on a new project, and I began to up my blogging game.
Since 2014, my style has evolved and developed massively, so much so that I feel very strongly connected to it; it has become an integral part of my identity. With such changes taking place, and my commitment to my blog increasing, I came to realise that my old brand did not represent me or what I am trying to do. I felt like my brand wasn’t a good fit – if I was feeling like that, it must have reflect how you guys feel too. Having become much more invested in my little project recently, I decided to create a new brand and website that I felt would perfectly house all of my ramblings and outfit pictures and everything else in between: enter The Style Climate.
Fashion has always been the most prominent element of my blog as it is what I love the most, so I felt like the name needed to reflect that. I also wanted to convey a sense of the present, what trends I like, how I am currently feeling, what I am interested in in that moment; hence climate. There were so many changes I wanted to make in terms of my photography, my subject matter and the actual content featured on my blog. For me, this is the perfect platform on which to make these changes, and I hope you guys are as excited as I am about what is in store!
